 FLUX TRENDS is a new trends analysis company launched by Dion Chang. The company’s by-line – The State We’re In - says it all.

At Flux Trends we believe that there is far too much information flung at us in the 21st century and we are unable to digest it all. As a result, we edit out information that is not within our immediate scope of interest - not as a matter of choice, but as a coping mechanism, because we are continually forced to prioritize.

However, in today’s world, what binds the social fabric has become progressively more complex. The information we edit out (and don’t believe is relevant), is becoming increasingly interconnected, so we inadvertently begin to place blinkers on our perspectives. As a result, the information we rely on is incomplete, our social interactions are affected, the generation gap widens and we start missing out on crucial business opportunities.

Too much information is becoming a very real problem.

Flux Trends helps to distill the barrage of information that is hurled at us in the 21st century. We identify and analyze macro trends (everything from politics, religion, youth culture, media, entertainment and technology) that affect social dynamics and therefore our business interactions, and then package this information into digestible chunks, allowing small or corporate businesses to re-assess the business and social landscape and formulate new, forward thinking, marketing or business strategies.

Flux Trends is not your usual trends forecasting agency. We look at what’s happening in the world, right here, right now, enabling you to make quick, short-term strategies in a world that is constantly in a state of FLUX.
